Those who book and have paid deposits will definitely get an appointment with us.

We require all those coming into the clinic to wear a mask.

Children under 12 are exempt.

Cromwell Family Practice is an approved Panel Physician Clinic that can perform Immigration NZ e-medicals, for NZ Visas only. Just fill out the booking form and we will be in touch with booking details, you do not need to come in to the clinic first. We DO NOT perform medicals for other countries that require an approved Panel Physician.
The exam is quite comprehensive, and includes a full physical examination with a male doctor, plus blood test. Wear comfortable loose clothing. Please allow at least one hour for this whole process. You can have a friend or support person with you if required. Limited medicals include a brief physical exam and blood test.
You do NOT need to be fasted/starved, please eat normally and drink plenty before arrival. Do NOT download the paper Immigration Medical Form, it is not required, nor are printed passport photos.
Children need to be accompanied by a parent or main guardian.
You will need to arrange an interpreter (NOT a family member) if you cannot understand English.
You need to bring your original passport. If you don’t have it please contact immigration, copies are not acceptable. If you can, please email us a scan or photo of your passport when booking, and forward any emails from Immigration also. This can have a major impact on the cost of your medical so please send us your immigration letter(s).
We DO NOT KNOW what sort of Visa you are applying for, nor do we automatically know what medical exams you require, it is up to you to tell us! From February Immigration will notify you of what type of medical exam is required.
- Cost is $443 for the Physician exam and blood tests. Limited medicals are $220. Chest Xrays cost are an extra $185 approximately at Pacific Radiology Clinics at Cromwell, Wanaka, or Queenstown, payment is made directly to them. A booking is currently required in Cromwell, we usually arrange this straight after your medical tests. The Lab and Xray services are private providers and their costs are beyond our control.
A cancellation fee of $75 will apply if you fail to attend without notifying us. We dont mind cancellations, but we set aside a lot of time for medicals that could be filled by someone else in need, so call if you dont require a medical or have booked elsewhere.
You can pay by cash, EFTPOS or Visa. (Note: $15 credit card charge will apply). Some exams cost less. Eg: limited Medicals for children, or if blood tests and Xrays are not required, or follow up annual reports and bloods.
